News article: Text may reveal Gods worshipped by Etruscans

From the article:
"It would be a rare discovery to identify the Etruscan god or goddess to which the sanctuary was dedicated. Apart from the famous seaside shrine at Pyrgi, with its inscribed gold plaques, very few Etruscan sanctuaries can be so conclusively identified."

To the Mother of the Gods

"Mother of Gods, great nurse of all, draw near,
Divinely honored, regard my prayer:
Throned on a chariot, by lions drawn,
By bull-destroying lions, swift and strong,
Thou swayest the sceptre of the pole divine,
And the word's middle seat, much-famed, is thine.
Hence earth is thine, and needy mortals share
Their constant food, from thy protecting care:
From thee at first both Gods and men arose;
From thee, the sea and every river flow.
Hestia, and source of good, thy name we find
To mortal men rejoicing to be kind;
For every good to give, thy soul delights;
Come, mighty power, propitious to our rites,
All-taming, blessed, Phrygian saviour, come,
Kronos’ great queen, rejoicing in the drum.
Celestial, ancient, life-supporting maid,
Inspiring fury,  Goddess give thy suppliant aid;
With joyful aspect on our incense shine,
And, pleased, accept the offering divine."

Aztec Hymn to the All-Mother

Aztec Hymn to the All-Mother

Hail to our Mother,
who caused the yellow flowers to blossom,
who scattered the seeds of the maguey,
as she came forth from Paradise.

 Hail to our Mother,
who poured forth flowers in abundance,
who scattered the seeds of the maguey,
as she came forth from Paradise.

 Hail to our Mother,
who caused the yellow flowers to blossom,
she who scattered the seeds of the maguey,
as she came forth from Paradise.

 Hail to our Mother,
who poured forth white flowers in abundance,
who scattered the seeds of the maguey,
as she came forth from Paradise.

Hail to the Goddess,
who shines in the thorn bush like a bright butterfly.
She is our Mother, Goddess of the earth,
she supplies food in the desert to the wild beasts,
and causes them to live.

Thus, you see her to be an ever-fresh model
of liberality toward all flesh.
And as you see the Goddess of the earth
do to the wild beasts,
so also does she toward the green herbs and the fishes.
