Azalea Prayer Ceremony

This time of year the Huayao, Yi people of China hold a traditional azalea prayer ceremony that goes back thousands of years.  Each Spring they celebrate the blooming of the azaleas and honor the flower Goddess to ask for good luck and a good harvest.  There is also one ancient Chinese belief that each earthly woman is represented in heaven by a flower or tree.

Full Crow Moon

As the call of the Crow heralds the end of Winter's hold,
may this Full Moon hold new promise and hope for all.
